Versions of Callaloo can be found throughout the Caribbean. Ours is closest to the one you might find in Grenada -- a creamy puree of greens rich with coconut milk. Another new addition to our Ground Chicken Meaty Pint lineup, this lovely dish came into being as a "rescue recipe" ths Spring to make good use of extra ground chicken and green beans, and we knew we had a winner! Organic ground chicken is seared and sauteed with caramelized onions and green beans, then summered in a broth-based, buttery sauce with lemon, capers, garlic and herbs. Toast! Toast! Toast! We highly suggest toasting the bagel 1-3 times. Toasting changes the taste and texture of the bread. Slice the bagel in half. The bagel will get brown around the edges and soft on the inside. Store in the freezer in an airtight container.
The bread is frozen and you can keep it in the freezer for up to 6 months.
